According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of SUNIR Company, on Saturday Dec 25th 2021, a meeting was held at SUNIR company with the representatives of Armenia HVEN Company and the Export Development Bank of Iran on the subject of extending the financing contract of the third power transmission line project in Armenia until the end of 2022.
The meeting was attended by representatives of HVEN Company, Hayk Harutynyan CEO and Arsen Gharakhanyan, Project Manager, Shahverdian, First Charge d’Affaires of the Armenian Embassy in Iran, Representatives of Export Development Bank of Iran, Hamid Reza Maboudi, deputy of international affairs and Jafar Sadegh Shokrnejad, deputy of legal affairs, and representatives of SUNIR Ali Bakhshi, chairman of the board, Mansur Saeedi CEO, and Hani Amirkhani, project manager were held.
In this meeting Hayk Harutynyan expressed satisfaction with the significant progress of the third power transmission line project in Armenia in the last two years and expressed hope that considering the capacities of the new power plant installed in Armenia and its readiness to export electricity to Iran, by exploiting This project will enable the possibility of large-scale energy exchanges by the end of 2022, and asked the representatives of the Export Development Bank of Iran to cooperate and support with SUNIR Company to achieve this important goal.
Also, during the meeting, it was decided to form a joint committee of representatives of HVEN Company, Sunir Company and Export Development Bank with the mission of following up on obstacles and problems occurs in order to facilitate and accelerate the cash flow injection process.
On the same day, in another meeting with the presence of Seyed Ali Husseini, CEO of the Export Development Bank of Iran, at the bank headquarter, the two sides expressed hope for the expansion of relations between the two countries regarding new projects, as well as discussing and exchanging views on contract renewal, the parties’ accounts. Finally, the contract for the extension of the financing of the third power transmission line project in Armenia until the end of 2022 was signed and exchanged between HVEN Company and the Iran’s Export Development Bank.
